https://e-journal.stai-ydi.ac.id/index.php/bujiced/article/view/489

Mathematics education in early childhood is an important foundation in developing children's logical and numerical thinking skills from an early age. However, in practice, learning mathematics at the early childhood education level is still often done conventionally without considering the characteristics of child development. This research aims to theoretically examine the basic concepts, learning strategies, and factors that influence early childhood mathematics education through a literature study approach. This research uses a qualitative method with a content analysis approach by collecting and analyzing various relevant scientific articles that discuss mathematics education in early childhood. The data analysis technique was carried out through descriptive content analysis by identifying the main themes in the literature, such as the play while learning approach, integrative thematic learning, the role of the teacher, and learning environment support. The results of the study show that mathematics education in early childhood should be done in a concrete, fun and contextual way, involving manipulative media and meaningful play activities. In addition, the involvement of teachers, parents and the surrounding environment plays a major role in supporting the success of learning. This study provides a theoretical basis that can be used as a reference for educational practitioners and researchers in developing mathematics learning strategies that are in accordance with the developmental stages of early childhood.
Cantika Rahma Yuli, Silvia Novi Yanti, Helena Helena

https://e-journal.stai-ydi.ac.id/index.php/bujiced/article/view/217

The physical-motor development of young children is a continuous process that occurs significantly in the formation of bones, as well as the growth and development of muscles and nerves, in accordance with their age range. This development directly influences children's motor skills. Therefore, this study aims to examine the stages and developmental tasks of physical-motor development in early childhood based on the standards of child development achievement levels, as well as to explore the role of environmental factors in supporting children's physical growth and motor intelligence. This study employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations. The findings reveal that children with well-developed physical-motor abilities are those who are able to optimally coordinate their body movements. A supportive environment, effective parenting patterns, and nutritious food are key factors that contribute to physical-motor development in early childhood, especially during the toddler years (under five years of age).
Neli Yulianis, Rezi Maswar, Dina Dahliana

https://e-journal.stai-ydi.ac.id/index.php/bujiced/article/view/216

Character building and emotional intelligence play a very important role in the educational process, contributing greatly to the overall development of students. Character education emphasizes the instillation of values such as responsibility, respect, honesty, and empathy, which are essential for personal growth and social interaction. Emotional intelligence, on the other hand, involves the ability to recognize, understand, and manage one's own emotions, as well as the ability to navigate social interactions effectively. This article explores the integration of character development and emotional intelligence in the curriculum and teaching methods, as well as their impact on students' academic success and interpersonal relationships. It also discusses the role of educators in creating an environment that supports students' emotional and ethical development, preparing them to face the challenges of the modern world with resilience and social responsibility.
Elvi Rahmi, Anes Septia Putri, Mona Yulia Zulfa

https://e-journal.stai-ydi.ac.id/index.php/bujiced/article/view/490

Social interaction is an important aspect of early childhood development that affects their ability to build relationships with others. However, not all children are able to interact optimally, so an in-depth understanding of the barriers and appropriate strategies to support their social development is needed. This study examines social interaction difficulties in early childhood, the factors that influence them, and strategies to support the development of positive social interactions. Using a qualitative method with a content analysis approach, this study analyzed 15-25 sources of scientific literature from databases such as Google Scholar, Scopus, Sinta, and Garuda published in the last ten years. The results show that social interaction is a fundamental aspect of early childhood development that influences communication skills, character building and social readiness. Factors that influence children's social interactions include parenting, the environment in which they grow up, interactions with peers, and the use of digital technology. Social interaction problems that are often encountered include withdrawn behavior, aggressiveness, difficulty sharing, and inability to understand the feelings of others. Strategies that can be applied to overcome social interaction difficulties include providing opportunities to play with peers, direct social skills training, avoiding coercion and comparing children, and increasing self-confidence. This study emphasizes the importance of the role of adults in creating an environment that supports optimal early childhood social development.
Dina Nanda Putri, Vebionita Megi Putri, Denny Rahmalia

https://e-journal.stai-ydi.ac.id/index.php/bujiced/article/view/479

Gadgets are modern technological devices that offer a variety of interesting features and are easily accessible to various groups, including young children. The use of gadgets without parental supervision can have a negative impact on children's development, especially in social, emotional, and behavioral aspects. This study aims to determine the patterns of gadget use among young children, identify its impact on their development, and understand the role of parents in supervising such use. This study employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, involving children who use gadgets, their parents, and other family members. Data analysis was conducted in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate variations in how children access gadgets and the emergence of several negative impacts, such as social disruption, decreased concentration, and behavioral changes. Active parental involvement is essential to limit and guide gadget use to prevent it from hindering children's development.
Mayang Belia Sameto, Wanda Sentia, Anita Indria
