Abstract

The role of maqam and ahwal in the formation of a Sufi's personality, which is an important element in the spiritual journey towards God. This study aims to show the role of maqam and ahwal in the formation of a Sufi's personality, which is an important part of the spiritual journey towards God. This study uses the method Systematic Literature Review is a method that uses data collection techniques through collecting journals related to the title of this article and using keywords as the research outline. Research Results discovering by undergoing the journey of a Sufi by reaching the levels of maqam, then gaining ahwal, provides important experiences forfactor experiencing a transformation towards the better, through several spiritual experiences such as restraining lust, avoiding things that smell of doubt and many more, which makes a Sufi have a very noble personality.
