Founded in 2024, Journal of Islamic Thought and Research is published in April and October every year. It is open to writers all over the world regardless of nationality. All published articles will be assigned a DOI provided by Crossref. Journal of Islamic Thought and Research supports Bethesda's Statement on Open Access Publishing. The purpose of the Journal of Islamic Thought, Research and Practice is to encourage scientific research in Islamic thought and contemporary Muslim issues. Journal of Islamic Thought and Research provides a platform for academics and researchers to publish the latest and significant research as well as other publication activities, such as book reviews and articles. Ma'rifatullah is not just knowledge, but an inner awareness born from a spiritual effort in understanding the existence of God through self-reflection, study of His creation, and interaction between humans and the universe. The main purpose of ma'rifatullah is to achieve closeness to God through a deeper understanding of his attributes and will, as well as strengthen the spiritual bond in daily worship. In the study of ma'rifatullah, a person is required to develop a sense of admiration, gratitude, and submission to God which will form a more obedient and humble character. This understanding brings a person to the realization that everything in this world is evidence of God's greatness and love. This study aims to identify the values ​​and life lessons from Buya Hamka's thoughts that are relevant for Generation Z students in facing the challenges of modern life. This study uses a literature review method with a literature review approach, namely examining articles, written works, and literature related to the concept of modern Sufism by Buya Hamka. The results of the study indicate that the thoughts of modern Sufism by Buya Hamka can be implemented in real terms by Generation Z students, especially in building character, controlling themselves from the negative influences of globalization, and fostering spiritual awareness that impacts life balance. This study uses the method Systematic Literature Review is a method that uses data collection techniques through collecting journals related to the title of this article and using keywords as the research outline. Ahmad Dahlan were a major milestone in shaping the character and direction of the Muhammadiyah movement as an Islamic reform organization in Indonesia. The organization was born from Ahmad Dahlan's concern about the condition of the Muslim community, which at that time was in decline socially, educationally, and spiritually. Ahmad Dahlan came up with contextual and progressive ideas of tajdid. Through a literature study approach, this article discusses Ahmad Dahlan's intellectual contribution in reviving rational, functional, and down-to-earth Islamic teachings in depth. He viewed Islam as a comprehensive system of life that must touch all aspects of human life, not just the mere rituals of worship. However, his thoughts did not stop at the level of discourse, but served as a foundation for building educational institutions, empowering women, and social institutions that became the seeds of real change in society. Ahmad Dahlan's ideas rejected the dichotomy between religious knowledge and general knowledge, and prioritized education as the main gateway to change. In the context of the dynamics of the Muhammadiyah movement, his thoughts remain relevant and serve as the spirit of Muhammadiyah's various da'wah and social activities to this day. The method used is a library research method, with a descriptive and analytical method approach. The results obtained are that there are several Turkish awards for Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, in the form of conferring the title "Ataturk", serious care for the Ataturk mausoleum (tomb building), and the presence of Ataturk icons in the form of pictures, statues, or the embedding of the word "Ataturk" in the name. -names of specific places in Turkey. Mustafa Kemal Ataturk was introduced as a very important figure in maintaining Turkey's independence and in reforming the modern Republic of Turkey, and was credited with creating a parliamentary system of government and laying solid foundations for democratizing life in Turkey. The effect of this award goes linearly with the goals of the Kemalists (followers of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk's understanding) with their kemalism, namely to continue the missions of Kemalism and to continue the struggle of modern Turkey by fostering a sense of Turkish nationalism. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that the award given to Mustafa Kemal Ataturk is an active effort made by the kemalists in carrying out their missions.
