This journal also has a program that aims to bridge the gap between textual and contextual approaches in Islamic Studies, and resolving the dichotomy between ‘orthodox’ and ‘heterodox’ Islam. The two are interrelated: textual traditions show that Islam, as well as a range of religious teachings, is a way of dealing with practical challenges in economic and social life. So, this journal invites the intersection of several scientific disciplines and scholars. In other words, the contributors borrow from a variety of disciplines, including the humanities and social sciences. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Research informants consisted of BKPRMI administrators at the sub-district level and youth mosque administrators. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and systematic conclusion drawing. The results show that BKPRMI innovates through more participatory coaching, the use of digital media, the development of creative and productive activities, and the organization of social and sports activities. These innovations have been proven to increase youth involvement in various mosque activities, although there are still obstacles such as low motivation for some youth, the influence of digital media, time constraints, and limited organizational resources. This study concludes that adaptive, participatory programs that are in accordance with the characteristics of the younger generation can increase youth participation in mosques. These findings contribute to the development of studies on da'wah, Islamic communication, and youth education, particularly regarding innovation strategies for youth mosque organizations in the digital era.
Qowigun Maajid, Faridah Faridah Copyright (c) 2026 Qowigun Maajid, Faridah Faridah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://e-journal.stai-ydi.ac.id/index.php/suluhpasaman/article/view/1143 Thu, 11 Jun 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Integrating Maqasid al-Shariah, Science, and State Regulation: A Multidisciplinary Framework for Muslim Children's Protection in Digital Environments https://e-journal.stai-ydi.ac.id/index.php/suluhpasaman/article/view/1151
Digital technology expansion presents both opportunities and significant risks for children, particularly regarding exposure to inappropriate content and harmful online interactions. Child protection in digital environments demands a comprehensive approach integrating religious, scientific, and policy dimensions. This study develops a multidisciplinary framework through three converging perspectives: Maqasid al-Shariah as a normative Islamic foundation, empirical findings from neuroscience and communication science on social media's impact on children's cognitive and psychosocial development, and Indonesian national regulations—particularly Permen Komdigi No. 9 of 2026 restricting social media access for children under 16 years. A qualitative design employing integrative literature review and thematic content analysis was adopted. Findings demonstrate that hifdz al-'aql (protection of intellect) and hifdz al-nasl (protection of progeny) are the most operationally relevant Maqasid principles for digital child protection. Scientific evidence consistently confirms negative impacts of excessive screen time on brain development and mental health, while state regulation provides the operational mechanism for enforcement. The integration of Islamic values and scientific evidence substantially strengthens regulatory legitimacy and effectiveness, creating dual normative and empirical foundations for a safe digital ecosystem for Muslim children in Indonesia
Vebionita Megi Putri, Silvia Novi Yanti Copyright (c) 2026 Vebionita Megi Putri, Silvia Novi Yanti https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://e-journal.stai-ydi.ac.id/index.php/suluhpasaman/article/view/1151 Thu, 11 Jun 2026 00:00:00 +0000
